Miller photography Protesting budget cuts that have reduced course offerings, pushed class size over the limit and eliminated after-school programs in schools throughout South Brooklyn, teachers, students, parents and community leaders marched from the Coney Island/Stillwell Avenue MTA station to Abraham Lincoln HS after school on Nov. 30. Fearing more cuts in January, the marchers carried their message “some cuts don’t heal” through the community. The march was initiated by staff at Leon Goldstein HS, where some students can’t get the classes they need to graduate. They were joined by other schools from Districts 21 and 22. top: Marjorie George, from Franklin D.
