    Are you concerned about paying your student loans? The Student Debt Relief Program, an exclusive member benefit brought to you by the UFT, is here to help. As an educator working in public service, you're entitled to participate in federal debt relief and loan forgiveness programs that can help you reduce or even eliminate your student debt. Some eligible teachers can qualify for tens of thousands of dollars in loan forgiveness. Navigating your options and applying for the right programs can be complicated. The Student Debt Relief Program is a brand-new service exclusively for UFT members to guide you every step of the way.

  • The Many Faces of Our Families (K-3) (LearnUFT Elementary Schools) Workshop 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm

    In this interdisciplinary LearnUFT workshop for K-3 members, through literacy and art integration, participants will create self and family portraits using simple art supplies. You will walk away with simple artist techniques that will help everyone feel successful. Two CTLE hours will be awarded.

  • 6th Annual Middle School Conference Conference 8:00 am - 3:00 pm

    Online registration is now open for our 6th Annual Middle School Conference. With a variety of workshops, participants can choose from topics that range from teaching Shakespeare in the middle school classroom to science exploration, educating our ELL students and more. At the conclusion of the conference, participants can receive four CTLE hours.

  • Getting to Know Our ELLs: Understanding the Language Proficiency Levels of Our Students (LearnUFT Queens) Workshop 9:00 am - 11:00 am

    In this LearnUFT workshop for Queens teachers and paraprofessionals, participants will describe the various student attributes for their designated language proficiency levels, use the New Language Progressions to design instruction for ELL students and incorporate strategies to increase interaction and critical thinking for ELL students. Two CTLE hours will be offered.

  • Integrated Co-Teaching Models (LearnUFT Queens) Workshop 9:00 am - 11:00 am

    In this LearnUFT session for Queens teachers and paraprofessionals, participants will explore the six models of co-teaching and consider how flexibility in teaching strategies can enhance student learning outcomes. Participants will also utilize a variety of instructional practices to strengthen the co-teaching partnership. Two CTLE hours will be offered.
