    The UFT's Member Assistance Program invites new members to join us for our first art therapy group this spring. Art therapy involves the use of creative techniques such as drawing and sculpting to help people express themselves.

    The UFT's Member Assistance Program invites you to a support group for those with family members affected by mental illness or addiction.

  • Purim Costume Party & Social Other 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

    The UFT Jewish Heritage Committee and the Jewish Labor Committee, Educators' Chapter invites you to our first Purim Costume Party & Social. Admission includes: one free drink on us, refreshments, a cash bar and Hamentashen. Cost: UFT/JHC Committee Members $10; non-members $15.

    There will be a $50 prize for best costume and a 50/50 raffle. All UFT members are welcome and it's for adults only. Pay at the door.

    Save the date for this year's Bronx college fair! Learn about the college application process and the resources and opportunities available to you. Registration is available for school staff bringing groups of students. Parents bringing children are welcome to attend, but need not register.

  • Creative Reuse for Teachers Workshop 4:30 pm - 6:30 pm
    52 Broadway,
    NY

    This is a creative, hands-on workshop incorporating wonderful, colorful, tactile materials. Participants will learn how to construct a work of art with recycled materials and to incorporate differentiated instruction, problem-solving and synthesis through the making of art projects. They will have the opportunity to create and critique projects and reflect on what they have learned. Participants will leave with both materials and knowledge of how to inspire students to think about how to use these materials to invent their never-before-dream-of products or to enhance those already in progress.

    Two CTLE hours will be offered.
