    The UFT's Member Assistance Program invites new members to join us for our first art therapy group this spring. Art therapy involves the use of creative techniques such as drawing and sculpting to help people express themselves.

  • Integrated Co-Teaching (ICT) (LearnUFT Middle School) Workshop 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm

    In this LearnUFT workshop for teachers and paraprofessionals, participants will develop knowledge of the six co-teaching approaches while gaining an appreciation of the importance of a strong co-teaching partnership. Opportunities will be provided to use new learnings to prepare for classroom instruction. Continuing Teacher and Leader Education (CTLE) credits are available.

    At this year's UFT Spring Education Conference, attendees will enjoy breakfast, a town hall, exhibits, new workshops and a gala luncheon. Two CTLE hours are available to those who attend the workshops.

  • The World is a Stage: Bringing Shakespeare to Life (LearnUFT Middle School) Workshop 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm

    New York, NY, 10004

    In this LearnUFT workshop for teachers and paraprofessionals, participants will experience an interactive approach to teaching Shakespeare. Through several reading, writing, listening and speaking activities, participants will turn their classroom into a vibrant world of language and creativity. Continuing Teacher and Leader Education (CTLE) credits are available.
