Join the fight for freedom: Become a member of the NAACP
Membership is the lifeblood of the NAACP. We depend on our members' generosity to ensure the NAACP's independence. We depend on you to keep the flames of freedom burning bright!
The NAACP believes that New York City has become the latest battleground in the national fight for education equality. That’s why it joined the UFT and other petitioners in a lawsuit against the New York City Department of Education challenging the closure of some schools as well as the inequities resulting from school co-locations.
For its principled stance, the NAACP has come under attack from right-wing news media and charter school supporters. UFT members can show their support for the organization by joining the NAACP today. An annual membership is $30.
