Parents petition to demand equal access to quality public education for all children
The New York City Parents Union, a citywide group of public-school parents, has started a petition to Mayor Michael Bloomberg demanding that he take action to provide every child in our city equal access to a quality public education. They are calling for the mayor to invest the money and resources needed to make sure that all children are college ready and able to compete in the global marketplace, and for parents to be full partners in the education system.
The Parents Union would like all concerned parents in the city to sign their petition.
Take action
- Read and sign the petition here.
- Let other parents — family, colleagues, friends and neighbors — know about it and urge them to sign, too.
