Her colleagues describe Janice White as an outstanding paraprofessional who “tirelessly shows dedication, professionalism and enthusiasm in all areas of her job. Her work is also her pleasure.”
A veteran of 14 years at PS 328, Janice has been the paraprofessional representative since 2001. She has been a staunch political activist, lobbying with the UFT in Albany and attending many union demonstrations. She is a member of the school’s consultation committee and articulates issues of concern to the professional staff and for the good of children. She is especially interested in winning the battle to reduce class size.
Janice graduated with honors from Medgar Evers College with a degree in special and elementary education. Her sister, Audrey Davis, is also an educator.
