Outstanding Paraprofessionals
Mar 15, 2007 3:38 PM
While every para deserves recognition, every year the UFT honors those selected by their peers for outstanding work in their schools and in their communities. Among the 14 paras honored in 2007, one is described by her co-workers, and even her principal, as an inspiration to the entire school community. Three honorees have given more than 25 years each to serving the special needs of children and they’re still giving it 100-plus-percent! Another 2007 honoree coaches the school basketball team at his school, plus started an after-school career program for students. All are paras making an impact, both within and beyond the classroom.
