5 Year Longevity and 5% Contractual RaiseMay 20, 2008
3,866 eligible pedagogues and 47 paraprofessionals WILL NOT be receiving the new 5 year longevity increase effective 5/19/08 on their check dated 5/30/08. These members will be receiving their 5 year longevity plus arrears for the 12 days in May (5/19-5/31) on their 6/15/08 check.

This long and most difficult of years is finally drawing to a close. While we have been able to resolve many issues as they have come up, there is much more work that needs to be done to make our jobs successful and meaningful. The health of our Chapter continues to depend on the commitment and involvement of our members. I wish all of you a healthy, happy and restful summer.
