Reimbursement for Medicare Part B which was means tested (income related)

By now those members and their spouses who had a city health plan were reimbursed $96.40 per month for 2008.  As noted the municipal labor coalition which the UFT is part of, worked extensively to get this benefit.  However, if there was additional money taken out for means testing you will have to submit two documents to the city to get reimbursement.  The notification by the Office of Labor Relations online states the city will send out checks on February 2010.  By clicking the link below you will see the two documents the city requires and the instructions where to send them.  As usual if there are questions please call our health department at (212)598-7726.
