Help Is a Phone Call Away

If you have a speech or union related problem or question, call our UFT speech chapter hotline Monday through Friday, 4-6 p.m. at 1-212-598-7774.  Sandy Robinson, Kathy Lewis and Mindy Karten Bornemann are there to help.  After hours you can call one representatives listed in the box.  Try not to call after 9 p.m. or early in the morning when we are getting ready to go to work.  We hope that you will find our services helpful and responsive to your needs.  If we cannot answer your question, we will refer you to one of the many UFT programs, such as licensing and certification, or to salary pension or health and welfare representative.  If you are new in the schools be sure to read the New York Teacher, which has a Help@Hand listing of key UFT programs and services — it’s also on the UFT Web site as well as a newer teacher section. The NYSUT calendar also lists many UFT offices and services.
