Message from Mindy, continued

Dear Speech Chapter Member,

As the year winds down and you prepare for some well-earned rest, I wanted to thank you for all your hard work during this difficult year. The Department of Education continues to disrespect us as professionals, but despite our struggles with the DOE, we have accomplished much and we continue to make a difference in the lives of children.

This newsletter is to update you on some of fights during the past year and to give you a glimpse of the obstacles that face us next year. In late August you will receive another news brief that will update you on the program preferences arbitration and any other breaking news.

Although many of you have already sent me their personal emails, I hope that the rest of you will do so. Please send me your name, personal email, school, district to Mbornemann@uft.org . In return you will get timely emails, which are much quicker than this snail mail.
