The UFT Action Campaign is heating up! By now, you have undoubtedly viewed our television ads urging the mayor to give us a fair contract. As the battle becomes more intense, the UFT will need your support in various activities, including demonstrations and leafleting.
None of thse actions is as important as the UFT e-mail campaign. In an effort to both keep members informed as well as alert them of immediate news and actions, the union is asking all members to register their e-mail address with the UFT. You can register by going to the Let Your Voice Be Heard box on the UFT home page. This simple process will take no more than three minutes. Fill in the short application, using your name as it appears on your payroll check (no Sue for Susan). Don’t forget to check that you are a UFT member, as this campaign also includes gathering e-mails of parents and community members. Most important of all, do NOT use your Department of Education e-mail address to register for this action.
An e-mail confirming your registration will be sent to your address. Your e-mail address is also your username.
