What You Should Know

UCP is now ADAPT Community Network

We are proud to announce that United Cerebral Palsy of New York City Chapter is now ADAPT Community Network.

One-time contribution to health reimbursement accounts

In July 2016, United Cerebral Palsy of New York City announced that the organization would make a one-time contribution to each participant’s Health General Plan Reimbursement Account for $512.74.

“This contribution is the result of forfeitures remaining in the [health reimbursement accounts] by employees who have left UCP.” The money was distributed evenly among employees who previously had received HRA contributions from UCP.

The funds were automatically deposited to participants’ Beniversal cards. Questions about this money should be directed to Lori Roman at jroman@ucpnyc.org, Antoinette Donaldson at adonaldson@ucpnyc.org or Phyllis Saieva at psaieva@ucpnyc.org

Reimbursement for EmblemHealth deductibles and co-insurance fees

Beginning May 1, 2016, UCP of NYC employees have a dedicated telephone number and email address to more efficiently help them apply for their deductible reimbursement from Benefit Resource (BRI). BRI Resource, Inc. handles the administration of UCP of NYC employees’ tax-free benefit accounts.

Emblem Health will create a letter and a report for employees for submission to BRI to obtain reimbursement of their deductibles and/or co-insurance fees. You may call 212-615-4261 or email ucp@emblemhealth.com to request the letter and report. You may receive it by email or regular U.S. Postal Service.
