Dues Information

The UFT has been the bargaining representative for administrative education officers and analysts since July 11, 2016.

The dues for your titles are the same as those of your colleagues in the other UFT- represented education analyst and officer titles and are calculated based upon the following language approved by the UFT Executive Board and Delegate Assembly:

“UFT members shall have a dues rate determined on the basis of .85 of one percent of the salary of Step 8B L20 in their title in the bargaining unit plus the pass-through, but not less than the minimum dues rate. Where there is no maximum salary of Step 8B plus L20 for a title in the bargaining unit, dues shall be based on .85 of one percent of the individual member’s compensation limited to Step 8B plus L20 plus the pass-through, but not less than the minimum dues rate.”

As a UFT member, you are also a member of our state and national organizations, New York State United Teachers (NYSUT) and the American Federation of Teachers (AFT) respectively. These unions also offer a broad range of discounted services, including group insurance plans, legal services, travel and merchandise discounts. We encourage you to explore the NYSUT member benefits and the AFT member benefits that come with your UFT membership.

If you have not completed a membership application, please use this online union enrollment form. If you have questions about dues deductions or if you have any other concerns, please contact the UFT contact center at 212-331-6312, which is the number for in-service functional chapter members.
