Welcome to the Directors of Alcohol & Substance Abuse Programs Chapter

The Directors of Alcohol and Substance Abuse Programs are responsible for the year-round administration, supervision, work-plan development and implementation of alcohol and substance abuse prevention and education programs across the New York City school system.

Duties include: the implementation of OASAS and Title IV grants, NYS/PARIS/OASAS online reporting, SAPIS supervision, district crisis response teams, drug and violence prevention professional development, state and federal budgets, program and staff evaluation, site development, staffing and placement, principal training, CBO collaboration, summer youth development programming, after-school programming, special events and initiatives, and technical assistance for school administrators and staff.
