Ed liaisons, as they are known, are master teachers in each UFT borough office who offer advice by telephone or in person, conduct workshops and sponsor support groups. They are specially trained in new strategies and mandates, and can help UFTers adapt to new technologies and analyze student data.

The UFT Teacher Center is a comprehensive professional development program. There are some 130 UFT Teacher Center sites in schools and offices throughout the five boroughs. Drawing on current research and best practices, UFT Teacher Center activities include in-classroom support and after-school study groups, citywide networks, conferences and seminars.
