Chinese New Year with the UFT Asian American Heritage Committee

In the heart of New York’s Chinatown, 400 people welcomed the Year of the Dragon at an all-out celebration hosted by the UFT Asian American Heritage Committee on Feb. 10. The event, featuring folk dancing performances and a roaming lion hungry for good-luck money, was the complement to a massive Lunar New Year parade that rocked Chinatown on Jan. 29.
