Getting the word out at the NYSUT Rep. Assembly
Apr 2, 2009
Carolyn Herbst, committee chairperson, Abbe Nosoff, committee staff person, and Eugene Rubin, UFT liaison to the committee, all worked through the first day and a half of the NYSUT Representative Assembly in Buffalo, New York on April 2nd and 3rd getting the word out about working with a disability and reasonable accommodations. Their efforts were eagerly received by numerous NYSUT members from across the state who were keen on learning about the rights of educators with disabilities. Members expressed their gratitude for the valuable information and guidance they obtained at the Capably Disabled Committee’s exhibit booth and looked forward to sharing the information with their NYSUT locals back home.
