- VOTE IN UFT ELECTION
- Ballots in the UFT election have been mailed to members' homes. Any member who has not received a ballot or has received an incorrect ballot should notify the American Arbitration Association at 800-529-5218 or email the organization at zainoj@adr.org. Requests for ballots must be received no later than 5 p.m. on March 30. The deadline for receipt of ballots at the organization is 5 p.m. on Tuesday, April 6.
- 50TH ANNIVERSARY FETE SOLD OUT
- Tickets for the UFT 50th Anniversary celebration on March 25 are sold out.
- AP TEACHERS CAN SCORE EXAMS
- The UFT has won a waiver giving teachers of Advanced Placement courses permission to apply for positions grading AP exams and related work. Upon completion of an OP-201 form and with approval from principals, teachers will now be allowed days of non-attendance with pay as AP readers. They will also receive a stipend for their work. Applications are available on the city Department of Education Web site.
