The following Humane Education Resource Guide was developed by the United Federation of Teachers
Humane Education Committee in conjunction with the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) and Humane Education Advocates Reaching Teachers (HEART). It was published in January 2006. The purpose of this on-line manual is to support primary school teachers in carrying out lessons of instruction on themes that reflect concern for people, animals and the environment.
