STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
Our main purpose remains: to gather and disseminate information about the culture,literatire and history of the Irish throughout the world, but especially that of the diaspora in America, so that the information can be used by teachers in New York City schools.
Cherishing our culture means passing it along to our children and grandchildren. We need to remember that our tradition was oral; and it was that tradition, along with the writings of the monks in medeival Ireland, that kept the flame of scholarship alive in Europe during its darkest days. May it continue to shine brightly!
