Library Media Committee
Co-Chairs: Christine Hatami, M.L.S. and June Schwarz, M.L.S.
The UFT Library Media Committee meets several times a year. The purpose of the committee is to protect the contractual rights of librarians and help to answer work related questions.
All library media specialists, K-12, and all teachers serving as the library cluster teachers are welcome to attend.
Meeting notices are e-mailed to members. Members are encouraged to contact the Committee Chair with an e-mail address to ensure notification. In addition, notice of the meeting is advertised in the New York Teacher, the UFT e-newsletter and on the NYCSLIST listserv.
The topics at each meeting vary. Professional issues, health and welfare, pensions, licensing requirements, etc. are just a sample of past agendas.
