Payment Information

"E" Courses

  • Registration fee: Students enrolling in NYSUT/ELT courses (designated as “E” courses) must register with a $100 deposit, which includes a $50 non-refundable registration fee. Registration may be done online, using a valid Visa or Mastercard. Students may also mail in their $100 deposit with the “E’’ course regjstration coupon.
  • Tuition payment: Tuition for “E” courses is $645 per 3-credit graduate course, which includes the registration fee and the cost of the required manual or textbook. These will be provided to students at the first class meeting. Tuition balance must be paid prior to the first class. Students are encouraged to pay online at NYSUT’s Web site by credit card (Discover, MasterCard or Visa). Those without computer access can mail a certified check or money order payable to NYSUT/ELT or provide credit card information and mail it with the registration coupon on this page to the UFT Teacher Center, 52 Broadway, New York, NY 10004, Attn: “E” Course Program. No cash or personal checks will be accepted.
  • Withdrawals: Participants have until the end of the first class to withdraw. However, paid tuition, less the $50 registration fee, is refundable only with written notice of withdrawal. This written notice must be faxed to NYSUT/ELT at 1-518-213-6456 or e-mailed. It must be received prior to the second class meeting. There can be no exceptions. Registration fees are never refundable unless the Teacher Center cancels the course.
"T" Courses
  • Online registration is available only to UFT members and $30 registration fee may be charged to a valid Visa or MasterCard. The UFT is not responsible for any errors in online registration. If you are having difficulty registering, please call 1-212-475-3737 for assistance.
  • Registration by mail: You may also mail in the "T" course registration coupon. Registration fee of $30 for “T” courses is payable by check or money order. UFT members can also use a credit card (Visa or MasterCard only). No cash will be accepted. Registration fees are never refundable, unless the Teacher Center cancels the course.
  • Tuition payment for “T” courses is due at the first class meeting, payable by check, money order or credit card. Visa and MasterCard are accepted by Brooklyn College, The College of Mount St. Vincent, New York Institute of Technology and Touro College. No cash will be accepted.
  • Withdrawals: Participants wishing to withdraw from “T” courses before the first class must notify the UFT in writing. After classes begin, participants must notify the college in writing to avoid academic consequences. Refunds are made at the college’s discretion.
