IRC Tanzania Program Kasulu Field Office

The Summer 2006 Sandy Feldman Fellowships in Kasulu, Tanzania will serve the educational needs of the refugees from the conflicts of the Central African region by strengthening the IRC’s capacity to provide high quality teacher education for primary and secondary school teachers teaching refugee girls, and teaching science.

IRC Phoenix, AZ Field Office

The Summer 2006 Sandy Feldman Fellowships in Phoenix, Arizona will serve the educational needs of students who are newly arrived refugees The Phoenix IRC office resettles over 500 refugees per year and provides numerous program services to assist the refugee from their arrival through citizenship. The Sandy Feldman Fellow will help the IRC Phoenix Resettlement office design and run several educational programs for youth during the summer of 2006.

IRC San Diego, CA Field Office

The Summer 2006 Sandy Feldman Fellowships in San Diego, California will serve the educational needs of students who are newly arrived refugees The IRC San Diego Regional Office (IRC/SD) was established in 1975 to assist refugees relocating to the US and is the leading private, non-profit, non-sectarian resettlement agency in San Diego, having resettled over 20,000 refugees. IRC/SD has numerous programs to help refugees and asylees acculturate and work towards self-sufficiency. These programs include: case management; employment assistance; immigration services; financial literacy and Micro Enterprise programs; specialized programs for women and youth; and citizenship/English language classes.

IRC Dallas, TX Field Office

The Summer 2006 Sandy Feldman Fellowships in Dallas, Texas will serve the educational needs of students who are newly arrived refugees. The Dallas IRC office resettles approximately 450 refugees per year and provides numerous program services to assist the refugee from their arrival through citizenship. The Sandy Feldman Fellow will help the IRC Dallas Resettlement office design and run several educational programs for youth during the summer of 2006.
