Teaching is not something we’re born knowing how to do. It’s a skill and an art that require ongoing training and hard work. Although it’s a given that we, as good teachers continually strive to learn and grow throughout our careers and beyond, many of us were given invaluable advice early on by fellow colleagues. It was often prefaced by, “I wish someone had told me this when I was first starting out…” We at PIP would like to “text on” a bit of this great oral tradition: pearls of wisdom we received from our teachers to you.
