Supplemental Educational Services
The United Federation of Teachers is pleased to announce it has been approved by the New York State Education Department to be a provider of Supplemental Educational Services this fall. Our program, Young People's Academy , will be providing free, after-school reading and math tutoring for eligible students in grades 2-5 in public schools throughout New York City .
What Kind of Academic Support Will Your Child Receive?
Children will:
- receive an individualized learning plan
- be in a small group of 4-8 students
- receive personal attention from our team of highly qualified, experienced teachers.
- receive tutoring in reading and math that uses proven, effective methods.
- bring home regular progress reports
- have instruction three days a week, from 3:00-5:00 pm
- get the help he or she will nee to succeed in school!
