Organizational Structure

Lead Teacher

Each of Young People's Academy's sites will have a Lead Teacher to organize the day to day operations in each school. They will be responsible for program organization, a safe learning environment and instructional support. Coordinators will have on-going communication with the administration, parents and teachers to create a strong educational partnership.

Teachers

All teachers will be New York City certified licensed teachers. Most of our staff will be from within the school where the site will be located to provide a smooth transition for the students to our after school tutorial services.

Regional Liaisons

Young People's Academy will provide a Regional/District/Borough coordinator who will provide support to site coordinators and ensure all our programs are operating with fidelity. Regional liaisons will help to support all our sites regarding site organization, instructional issues, and professional development for teachers and parents. In addition, they will provide on-going communication between the school, administration, and the Regional office.

Project Coordinator

Young People's Academy will also provide a citywide Project Coordinator who will be responsible for the day to day operations of the program.

This strong organizational structure should help provide an orderly running of our program throughout the school year. It will allow our schools and regional offices the opportunity to communicate with Young People's Academy in supporting a sound Supplemental Educational Services after school tutoring program for all our children.
