UFT dues

During the year ending Dec. 31, 2004, the City of New York and other employers deducted union dues for the UFT from those UFT members who were so designated. The amount deducted on your behalf and remitted to the UFT can be computed from this chart. Be sure to multiply the semi-monthly amount by the actual number of paychecks you received at each rate. Union dues may be tax deductible, subject to certain limitations. For further information, please consult your tax professional.

Free tax services available to eligible UFTers

Free tax services are available to UFT members who earned less than $35,000 in 2008. Tax returns will be prepared at no cost now through April 15 at locations in Brooklyn, Queens and the Bronx.
