IN MEMORIAM

We are saddened to announce the passing of I. Stephen Miller on Dec. 13, 2004. He was an active member of our Steering Committee and assisted in planning many of our disability awareness conferences. He was also active on the Executive Board of ATSS/UFT, the social studies association.

Stephen taught at PS 209 in District 21 in Brooklyn. He served as Master of Ceremonies at the annual UFT District 21 Scholarship Dinner Dance. A community activist in Brooklyn, he was a founder of the Sheepshead Bay Historical Society and was former president of the 61st Precinct Community Council.

Stephen was a generous and gregarious teacher, activist and unionist. He will be sorely missed by us all.
