Video captures UFT members door knocking for Hillary in Pennsylvania
Apr 24, 2008 1:46 PM
Hillary Clinton’s big Pennsylvania
primary victory on April 22 had a lot of help from UFTers. Two busloads of UFT
members from the Bronx and Manhattan
made the trip to Pennsylvania on
the Saturday before that state’s pivotal Democratic primary.
The UFT volunteers knocked on doors encouraging teachers in the Keystone State to vote for the candidate that the union considers — as UFT President Randi Weingarten told the delegation of campaign volunteers that bussed down the Saturday before the Tuesday primary — “the best nominee in November, hands down.”
You can catch the action on a video produced by the UFT’s Bronx office.
