Race to the Top a flop
November 22, 2012
As an educator of 60 years experience, I can tell you that Race to the Top, with its emphasis on test scores as the be all and end all of education, does not provide the education needed for America’s children or children of any other country.

Web restrictions should be eased
November 22, 2012
The DOE’s censorship (or restriction) of YouTube, Facebook and other sites throughout the entire schoolwide Internet system needs to be revisited. Although such media sites may have questionable or inappropriate material, they also have academically valuable material that would enrich many classrooms.
