Fairness for all campaign continues
December 20, 2012
We round out the year with a resolution passed at the November RTC general membership meeting: Those elected with the support of labor must keep the promise made during the campaign to promote job creation legislation, to protect Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid and to end the Bush tax cuts for the richest 2 percent of society.

Retired Teacher Chapter members did their part — before, during and after their general membership meeting at UFT headquarters on Dec. 11 — to tell Congress to develop a fair and balanced deficit-reduction package that includes revenue increases, such as requiring corporations and the richest 2 percent of Americans to pay their fair share of taxes.
