While counselors were honored by the UFT at a Feb. 4 conference, scores of its members in every borough celebrated Guidance Counselor Week last month at smaller, more intimate gatherings. At Edward R. Murrow HS in Manhattan, counselors, social workers and psychologists were honored at a breakfast given by their principal, Anthony Lodico (striped tie). The insulated lunch bags on the table were the gifts of the school UFT chapter leader, Frieda Jones. Honorees show their pleasure as they pose around the festive table.
