Singing the union’s praises
Dec 6, 2007 2:38 AM
The New York City Labor Chorus presented a signed picture by Ralph Fasanella — a painter whose detailed work depicts the city’s garment industry and American labor and grassroots political history — to UFT President Randi Weingarten on Oct. 15 for the union’s support. The 80-member chorus, 10 of whom are UFTers and the rest belong to some two dozen other city labor locals, has performed at Teacher Union Day and at NYSUT conventions.
Weingarten admires the Fasanella work flanked by Barbara Bailey, chorus president, and Bob Greenberg, chorus vice president.
