When they're not running ...

The UFT Runners, a diverse band of educators who share a common interest in running at various levels of proficiency, held their October meeting to make plans for another year of fun and fitness. Essentially a group of congenial runners and walkers who profit from each other’s company, they also have an elite competitive team that has competed at a high level for many years. Their main event has been the annual New York Road Runners Corporate Challenge 3.5-mile Central Park race, which has been traditionally followed by a terrific fiesta in the park. All UFT members are invited to participate. The Runners Committee is as much about friendship as about athletics. To join or for further information, contact UFT Professional Committees at 1-212-598-7772.
