City health plans to change rates

Each year at this time, New York City’s health plans announce rates changes that go into effect July 1. These changes affect in-service municipal employees and non-Medicare retirees.

Here is a comparison of the new monthly rates with those that went into effect a year ago. Benefit and rate modifications for AETNA HMO and AETNA QPOS are pending. The AETNA rates listed in the rate chart reflect the current rates that went into effect Jan. 1.

In-service members will receive a payroll stuffer announcing these new rates. However, members should note that the rates shown in the stuffer for AETNA HMO and QPOS have not yet been approved and are therefore not final.
