Philly Flower Show
Spend Sunday, Feb. 28, at the Philadelphia Flower Show. Cost of $68 includes ticket to the show, round-trip transportation and tip for the driver. The theme for this year’s show is “Passport to the World.” Visit India, a land of colors; the Netherlands, with its rainbow of blooms; South America, the Amazon Jungle of Brazil; Singapore, the Pearl of Asia, with a tribute to the orchid. Guests will be treated to internationally inspired dances. Bus departs from 97-77 Queens Blvd. at 8:30 a.m. and from UFT headquarters at 9 a.m. Returns to UFT headquarters at 7 p.m. and to Queens at 7:30 p.m.
Seekonk, Mass., trip
Spend Saturday, Nov. 7, at the Johnson & Wales Culinary School in Seekonk, Mass. Cost of $85 includes culinary lunch at Johnson & Wales Country Inn, culinary demonstration, visit to the Culinary Archives & Museum, round-trip transportation and tip for driver. Make your choice of entree on the registration form. Bus departs from 97-77 Queens Blvd. in Rego Park at 8 a.m. and from UFT headquarters at 8:30 a.m. Bus returns to UFT headquarters at 8 p.m. and to Queens at 8:30 p.m.

Theme park discounts
The UFT no longer offers discount cards to theme parks (Sea World, Busch Gardens, Sesame Place, etc.) but as a union member you can still obtain discounts from NYSUT by calling 1-800-626-8101; or from the AFT by visiting its Web site, or from the AFT Plus Member Benefits.
Six Flags Great Adventure
Discounted tickets can be purchased directly from the Recreational Activities Department. Ticket prices are as follows: Theme/Safari Park “Season Passes” $90.95 and Three-Park “Season Passes” for $123.05. The season pass gives you unlimited visits to 15 Six Flags Theme Parks with the Theme/Safari Season Pass (must process voucher at Six Flags Great Adventure first before going to another park). You will also get a bonus of five free tickets for friends on select days as part of a value book worth more than $300. Great for gift giving. You can also purchase the Season Parking Pass for $45. Theme and Safari “Good Any Day Tickets” for $26.75. Hurricane Harbor “Good Any Day Tickets” for $23.50. Midway Meal Deals for $10.43.
