UFT makes a mouse call

It was difficult to describe the surprise of parents and staff at PS 95 in Brooklyn when mice brazenly crawled through holes in classroom halls on Open School Night in March. Chapter Leader Roberta Green decided that enough was enough. She contacted District 21 Representative Judi Gerowitz, who got in touch with UFT Brooklyn Special Representative John Settle. By e-mail, Settle apprised the custodian and the district plant manager, who quickly repaired the holes. The mice have not been seen since. below: Green on “mouse patrol,” with the only mouse she hopes to see in her classroom from now on: Mickey.
