To the Editor,
I was pleasantly surprised that the same issue of the New York Teacher [Jan. 17] that carried UFT President Randi Weingarten’s discussion of why the union has endorsed Hillary Clinton also included my letter titled “Why the endorsement?”
I do appreciate that the paper allows for a diversity of opinion, encouraging an open dialogue over this protracted and contentious race for the presidency.
Let me, again, compliment the editorial staff.
