Union updates new counselors

New guidance counselors left their Nov. 28, 2007 meeting at UFT headquarters with plenty to think about. Chapter Leader Angela Reformato updated them on salary scale, courses acceptable for differential and dates of upcoming meetings, workshops and the annual conference. Counselors learned all about the UFT Welfare Fund from its executive director, Arthur Pepper, and pension information was covered by UFT Special Representative Stephen Gappleberg. above: Mary Jane Bradford of The American Sign Language and English Secondary School takes notes to make sure she remembers it all. below: Reformato shows off a booklet, “Schools Where Everyone Belongs,” during a chat with Tamelia Spooner of Thurgood Marshall Academy for Learning and Social Change.
