RTC 2009 election vote count now official

Tom Murphy, the Unity Caucus candidate for chapter leader, was determined to be the winner of the election following the June 26 vote count by the American Arbitration Association. Murphy, who received 14,545 votes, will serve a three-year term that began on July 1.

Retiree Advocate Caucus candidate Carl Makower received 4,561 votes.

Unity also won the remaining officer and Executive Board positions:

Vice Chair Leaders: Frank Carucci, Lionel Knight, Abe Levine, John Soldini.

Secretary: George Altomare; Assistant Secretary: Howard Bloch; Corresponding Secretary: Frances L. Brown; Treasurer: Vincent Gaglione; Assistant Treasurer: Angela Reformato Solomon

Executive Board: Patricia Blackwell, Ronald Campana, Lucy Carrubba, Yvette Alane Geary, Anthony Giardina, Mildred Glaberman, Eleanor Guido, Edward Johnson, Anthony F. Pollice, Lucille Richards, Linda Selesnick, Jacqueline Singletary, James Tabert, Frank Volpicella, Alfred Weiss

The Unity candidates for the Delegate Assembly positions also were victorious.
