For everything you needed to know about your health, your pocketbook and even what constitutes a “senior moment,” there was the 12th annual Day at the University for RTC members on June 11 at UFT headquarters. More than 250 retirees heard speakers and attended a series of workshops led by specialists in their fields at the daylong event. below right: Plenary speaker Dr. Suzanne Steinbaum, cardiologist at Lenox Hill Hospital, talks about healthy hearts and what plaque and calcium do to arteries. right: Hands are up for who has a TDA in the workshop on finances. below: Robert Disch, lecturer on New York City history for Elderhostel, runs through the history of city mayors from Dewitt Clinton to Michael Bloomberg.
