Last chance to opt in to 55/25 early-retirement plan

It's now or never! The deadline for enrolling in the 55/25 early-retirement plan is Aug. 25, 2008.
More than 31,000 UFT members have opted in to date. Winning this new retirement benefit for members was a 12-year battle and given the current circumstances, it is highly unlikely that you will ever have another opportunity to enroll.
Contact your retirement system if you need an opt-in form. The Teachers’ Retirement System’s opt-in form is also posted in the 55/25 section of the UFT Web site. You can also opt in online at the TRS Web site, www.trs.nyc.ny.us/.
