UFT congratulates teachers, students, parents in newspaper ads

On June 10, the UFT ran a full-page advertisement in the New York Times, the New York Post, and the Daily News congratulating teachers, students, and parents. It begins, “Our teachers, students and parents have taught New York City a thing or two about hard work.”
The ad highlights the improvements city students made on statewide reading and math tests. It also asks Mayor Bloomberg and the New York City Council to protect schools from harmful budget cuts.
