Wellness programs and initiatives

The UFT, in its role as a leader of the Municipal Labor Committee unions and the city's health committee, worked with the mayor's Office of Labor Relations and the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene to launch WorkWell NYC, an initiative designed to support New York City employees in getting and staying healthy.

Get your flu shot Flu vaccinations

Flu vaccinations are now offered at worksites across city agencies during the flu season with support from the DOHMH and in collaboration with EmblemHealth. Learn more »






Teladoc logo Teladoc

With Teladoc, members covered under the EmblemHealth GHI-CBP plan can talk with a doctor within minutes rather than days or hours. Teladoc doctors can diagnose, treat and prescribe medication for non-emergency medications, including treatments for the flu, sore throat, allergies, stomach aches, eye infections, bronchitis and more. A partnership with Weight Watchers, a national weight loss company, offers discounted membership pricing to NYC employees that is subsidized by the city and its municipal unions. Discounted pricing is available to spouses, dependents and retirees. Learn more »
