Damaged or Stolen Property
published July 27, 2010
Although you are responsible for school and student property under your supervision, you are not responsible for the loss of such property if the loss is not your fault. However, if your personal property (including your car, but excluding cash) is damaged, destroyed or stolen while you are on duty or on a school trip and you have not been negligent, the DOE will reimburse you for up to $100 that is not covered by insurance.
