How to Request a Market Rate Increase

The new market rates for 2011 can be found below. In order to receive the new rates, however, there are several things you will need to know. Please follow the instructions below to apply for the new market rates.

In order to receive the new market rates, all providers must:

1. Maintain a rate sheet with the rates charged for children of various ages.
2. Complete the provider/program enrollment or update request.
3. Complete the 2011 Market Rate Rate Adjustment Review Request.

All of the above documents must be returned to ACS via fax or mail.

Informal Providers: In order to receive the enhanced rate for informal providers, these providers must take 10 hours of approved training in various topics, now offered by the UFT. Call 212-598-9288 for more information about trainings.

Special Needs Child Care

The rate of payment for child care services provided to a child determined to have special needs id the actual cost of care up to the statewide limit of the highest weekly, daily, part-day or hourly market rate for child care services in the state, as applicable, based on the amount of time the child care services are provided per week regardless of the type of child care provider used or the aged of the child. The highest full time market rate in the state is:

Weekly $335
Daily $64
Part-Day $43
Hourly $18.75
