SESIS grievances
Members have reported that they been instructed to complete SESIS-related activities outside their regular work day. As a result they have had to do this work during their lunch period, before or after school or at home. These activities include, but are not limited to, being required to: participate in professional development about SESIS and the new state IEP through “brown bags,” webinars and online training modules during your duty-free lunch without compensation; calling the help line after school or from home; taking documents home to fax; printing IEPs or reports at home.
If you have performed SESIS-related activities at home because you have been directed to do so, you can file a grievance within thirty (30) school days from the time you were instructed to perform the activity. Download the form below and submit the completed form to your chapter leader.
