WHEREAS in a world in which terrorist acts become more commonplace every day, and

WHEREAS in 2015 alone, we have seen at least 300 acts of terror, and

WHEREAS in the past few days, we have witnessed mass murder in Paris in which 129 people died and hundreds more were injured, and,

WHEREAS many of the UFT’s members experienced loss and devastation after the World Trade Center attacks; therefore let it be

RESOLVED that the UFT stands firmly with all victims of terrorist atrocities throughout the world in declaring these acts for what they are: the work of cowards who do not believe in the principles of a democratic society.
